iPhone isn’t charging correctly – not charging how to fix
If your iPhone 3 / 3GS / 4 / 4S / 5 / 5S / 5C/ iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is not charging or keeps fading in and out of charging it can be a huge pain and can cause some major problems. This problem occurred to me a while back when randomly my iPhone 5 just would not charge. After research and some inspection there are some fixes and solutions that should help the iPhone no charging problem.
Step 1
First things first you are going to want to inspect the charging cable and the charging point. Look for any faulty cables or loose parts on the iPhone charging power cable. If you are not using a genuine Apple charging cable then the cheaper ones are more prone to breaking. If you do notice a fault in the cable it is highly recommended that you invest in a good quality cable.

Check the charging dock and also the charging connector on the cable itself. If there is a build up of dirt and grime that may cause a bad connection and cause drop outs in charging or no charging at all. You can clean this by using a cotton wool bud or a dry toothbrush. It is very surprising how much dirt can get in there.
Step 3
This is similar to the above step in which you want to insert the charger in take it out, try repeating this step for about 30 seconds. This may dislodge any dirt that may be causing the fault.
Step 4
Try restarting the iPhone by holding the home and lock button together for 10 seconds. This may eliminate any glitches that may be causing the no charging problem.
