If your Juul vape pen is not charging, it can be extremely frustrating! Luckily for you, I have found 7 fixes that you can try to regain charge to your Juul.
Some other issues you may be encountering are that the battery is completely dead but LED’s still flashing or the battery won’t hold charge.
The below fixes will address all these issues and also work for all Juul vape pen models and pods. Below you will find the fixes that are ordered from the most likely to work to the least. Lets begin!
Juul Not Charging – How To Fix (7 TIPS)
1. Clean Your Juul Connectors & Charger
One of the most common issues for the Juul vape pen not charging is from a buildup of dirt, dust, oils and lint on either the Juul connector or the USD charger. Or in some cases both.
This is due to the fact that most users have their Juul in a pocket or bag which is a magnet for attracting fluff and dirt. So while you may have only your device for 1-2 months, a substantial buildup can still occur.
To fix this, you can get a cotton wool bud, q-tip or dry cloth to wipe the connectors and dislodge any dirt on the bottom of the Juul. It is also worth doing the same for the charger.
This should hopefully fix the no charging issue!
2. Wave a Magnet Over The Juul
While this defiantly is an odd fix, according to many Reddit users, this seems to work like a charm, regardless of how strange it sounds.
What you’ll want todo is get a magnet which could be a fridge/ magnetic name tag etc and apply the magnet to the base of the Juul. You can also try and move the magnet around the charge area for best results. Applying the magnet to the charger also seems to work well.
This step is done as it helps to rebalance the magnets in the device which may be causing the issue.
3. Adjust The Battery
Another common issue for the Juul not charging issue is that the battery may have disconnected completely from the charging pins.
This may have happened if you have dropped your Juul or bumped it hard enough for this to occur.
To fix this, simply remove the Juul pod and get a narrow object and try and push the connector and the pad back into the device. Alternatively, you can press quite firmly on the bottom to try and reconnect the battery.
For a last ditch approach, you can also dry and give it a thorough shake to try and get the battery back in place.
4. Try a Different Charger
If nothing is working by this point, it may be worthwhile trying a different charger as that one you are using might be broken. You can ask a friend or family member who uses a Juul. If not, you can pick up a brand new one for around $5-$10.
For an extension of this, it is also worth trying to charge the Juul from another powerpoint as the one you might be plugged into has stopped working. It is also recommended to try a different adapter for more troubleshooting.
5. Let Juul Charge For 2-3 Hours
If you haven’t used your Juul vape for sometime, the battery may now be completely dead. If this does happen, the device may need to be on charge for quite some time before the device becomes responsive.
Typically, the Juul should come to life after about 15-30 minutes time if it hasn’t been used for 1-3 months. It is also recommended that you let the Juul charge for 2-3 hours uninterrupted as this will keep the battery healthy.
6. There May Be Water Damage
For those that have dropped their Juul into water, a pool, beer or even the toilet, this may be causing your device not to charge up or power on.
To try and fix this, you should power down the Juul (if it still has charge) and put it in a container/ bag of dry rice. While this might sound strange, dry rice is one of the best materials to absorb any water or moisture that has gotten into a device.
This also works great for smartphones and other electronic devices.
7. Don’t Charge Via a Laptop
If you have come this far and you are charging your Juul via a laptop or computer, this may be the hidden issue. If you battery has gone completely flat, some laptops don’t provide sufficient charge for the Juul to restart.
If this sounds like you, simply charge the Juul via an adapter from the wall
Conclusion
